Chapter Fourteen

Sam ate a sandwich brought to him in his office by the lovely naked Eliana, now bare between her thighs. Sam had lost no time in verifying that bareness; after she had put the tray down on his worktable, he had made her touch her toes in front of him so he could feel just how smooth and soft Cathy had gotten her there.

“Did you cross your legs while you applied the lotion?” he asked as she bent in front of where he sat in his desk chair, stroking her bottom, where the welts from his belt were almost gone.

“Yes, doctor,” Eliana said, her head hung low so that he could inspect Cathy’s handiwork.

“Did you experience orgasm?” He ran his middle finger up and down her labia; the pink of the inner lips peeped out just a little bit, and Eliana whimpered when he touched it.

“Yes, doctor,” she whispered.

He pushed his finger gently inside and probed for a moment. Eliana gave a soft, questioning cry as Sam found that the wetness had gathered anew inside her vagina.

“You’re aroused again,” he said matter-of-factly. “Good girl. You may stand up. Go and do your chores now. Nurse Bracken will bring you to the exam room at two o’clock, and we’ll have another intercourse session. I’ll be dominating your mouth and your anus today.” Eliana gave him an uncertain glance over her shoulder, her lips compressed into a tight line, and departed, closing the door behind her.

As Sam munched the excellent pastrami, he watched his view screen, on which he had an excellent angle on his custody girl patient as she vacuumed the living room. He couldn’t decide whether the affection he felt came from something in Eliana’s basic nature that had begun to come out once she had begun the dominance protocol, or whether, in fact, her struggle against the protocol, and him, and then to understand how the protocol had begun to change the way she felt had called out to him and made him feel the increasing need to care for her and help her find happiness. The protocol called for him constantly to demonstrate that sort of caring and guidance, so nothing in how he treated Eliana would change, really: Sam just stood in danger of losing his heart to her, and of not being able to tell her until the experiment had concluded—or perhaps of never being able to tell her at all.

Sam had not been one of the elites who had elected to register, as Jim and Cathy Bracken had, for the Marriage List: the relatively new development of elite society, now also extended to the tribals, in which the old prohibition against cohabitation that the elites had enforced aboard Athena was suspended for anyone who would declare themselves willing to accept benign oversight of their marital domestic arrangements. In the wake of the return of the colonists from Sigma Draconis, who had not abolished marriage but rather gone in the opposite direction, strengthening the institution
